Welcome to a whole New Year!! It's been so long since I updated my blog that I hardly know where to start....But I'm sure going to give it a try. Last summer my sister Ann's house (where Duane and I were living) was sold. Du and I moved into an apartment for a while and eventually found the perfect place for us- a two bedroom twin home one the corner of 4th and 4th in Logan. We're on block away from Adams Park so it really doesn't matter that we don't have much of a backyard.... We do have a nice front porch and a side patio that's perfect for barbecuing. We really enjoyed it this summer.
Then winter came and we were preparing for the holidays...Halloween we didn't a single Trick or Treater, even though we live just a block from an elementary school and a couple of blocks from Utah State University. Then Thanks giving was upon us and we had an awesome Thanksgiving with the Loney family- turkey, football, and family- what more could anyone ask for.
The month of December brought some excitement- my nephew Mike, his wife Shelly and their daughter Aceley were sealed together for all Time and Eternity in the Logan Temple on December 11th. They are a beautiful little family and everyone was so happy for them. They had a reception at the church house and we took family pictures. Then for the not so nice thing that happened in December- while getting ready for Christmas and all that it entails- cards, decorating, baking, celebrating, etc., I had a heart attack. I had just finished a 12 hour shift and was getting ready to go to bed...and the elephant landed on my chest. Talk about being scared to death...okay- nearly. I was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Room of the hospital where I work, and then another longer ambulance ride to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden early the next morning.
